Gettin' better all the time!

Just wanted to stop in and say that pregnancy is slowly starting to get better and better for me! My nausea is still better. I have only had a couple of sick spells this last week and that is AWESOME considering before that I was sick from the time I woke up until the time I went to bed!

Many of you know that I work for a cardiology practice. Because of this I have access to an ultrasound machine anytime. (We have to do echo cardiograms which are ultrasounds of the heart.) Well, I took advantage of this for the first time today. I am 10 weeks 4 days and it is unbelievable how big little bit has gotten! I was shocked! While I was laying there watching the heart beat away, the tech moved the wand a little bit and he started kicking and punching like he was ready to beat someone up!! It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen (except for that first ultrasound with the heartbeat!!) She grabbed a tape and popped it in the machine but when she hit the record button, he stopped moving! As soon as she paused the tape, he started again!! This went on and on for six or seven minutes. I already thought this baby was a boy, and this just supported that thought!! Isn't that just like a man to never do what you want him to do when you want it done!!! My mother-in-law said that's just the Broadhead coming out in him! She's been married to one for 44 years so I guess she knows! Anyhow, after wiggling and wiggling the wand, we finally got the baby to move on tape so I will be able to show it off! Randy is excited to see it, too! (He wasn't able to be here for it today because it was kinda a last minute thing!)

What was also surprising to me was the fact that he looks like an actually baby now and not just a blob! We saw the profile of his face, his spine, arms and legs. And you could actually tell what was what. It's nice to see him moving around! The ultrasounds where there was just a blob with a heartbeat were great, but it's nice to know he is getting strong enough to kick and he was also turning flips! Randy thinks it's funny that he's that active because he said that will make it that much more fun to watch me later when I can actually feel all his kicks and punches. I think I told him to kiss my butt!!

So, all is still well on the baby front and Mommy is feeling better as well. I hope all you out there are doing good and I hope to hear from all of you soon!

Later taters!
Krissy and Little Bit

Stats so far:
10 weeks 4 days with a very active little bugger
Next appointment 09/06/07

**Just to clarify-We keep referring to the baby as he and him. While we do plan to find out the gender of this baby, we have not done so yet as it is too early! I have had a feeling all along that it's a boy and at home we refer to the baby as "Little Man." As soon as we know the gender I will post it and will start calling the baby by his/her name!!**

Oh, how absolutely cool is that!?!? I love it. Glad you're feeling better! I've noticed a definite decrease in fatigue, so here we come, headed for a great second trimester very soon!
