A little game

Let's play a little game. It's called Krissy freaks out and spends all day Monday at the ER and then the doctor's office only to find out she is a paranoid nut case!

I woke up Monday morning not feeling quite right. Nauseated as usual, but with mild cramping as well. I decided it would be best if I called into work and stayed off my feet all day. That worked until about 10:30 when my appetite got the best of me. On the way to the kitchen I stopped to tinkle (for the 100th time in the last 24 hours!!) and lo an behold there was the dreaded spot. (Sorry if this is too much info for some of you!) I panicked. Called Randy, he was 2 hours away in Vicksburg. Called mom, couldn't get her. Called Lindsey, she was an hour away at work. Called Brittany, she had both babies and Ken wasn't at home to look after them. Finally, I called Randy's sister and she dropped everything, called into work, found someone to pick up her kids at school and came and got me! So off to Hattiesburg we go. I am met at the ER by mom and Mintci. (It was just a grand ole' party before the day was over) After sitting in the ER for FOUR HOURS I finally walked out. The protocol for a pregnant patient coming in through the ER is check them in and send them to Labor & Delivery. Not this time. They thought I should just sit around the waiting area with everyone else carrying God only knows what kind of germs. Anyhow, I called my Doctor's office and they had a spot they could work me in. So I went to the office and waited about 30 mins. Had my 3rd ultrasound so far this pregnancy and all was well with baby. It has grown SOOOOOO much! One day I promise I will scan some pics for everyone to see! The heart rate was up to 175 bpm from 146 bpm, so my sisters are convinced it is a girl. My doctor came in and reassured me that all was well me and the baby and there was nothing to be worried about at this point. The spotting and cramping could be from all the progesterone I am taking twice a day. So it was a long day and great fun was had by all!! (NOT-the only good thing about the day was learning that my baby was ok and getting to have another ultrasound)

So, all's well that ends well!

Needless to say, I have been taking it very easy the last couple of days. Last night Randy and I decieded to go swimming. Let me just say when you have had almost 2 weeks of 100 degree weather, it has an effect on the temp of the pool water. It was like taking a warm bath. YUCK! Randy and I spent the entire time talking about girl names. Well, I would throw out names and he would reject them. After spending an hour in the pool, we were no closer to a girl name than when we started! Walking in the house, though, he spouted off a name completely joking and it kinda stuck! We are going to ponder over it a few days and if we decide to keep it, I will post it on here for all to see!

So, until next time,

Krissy

STATS SO FAR:

9 weeks 4 days

Heartrate 175 bpm

Next appointment 09/06/07
